KEYNOTES

Bob Hensle
Enterprise Architect
BEA Systems, Inc.

Bob Hensle has over 20 years of industry experience including more than nine years with BEA Consulting. During his time with BEA, Mr. Hensle has helped customers architect, design, and deploy a variety of enterprise software applications. Mr. Hensle is currently focused on Service-Oriented Architecture with particular emphasis on educating customers on SOA concepts and best practices to help them successfully adopt SOA. Mr. Hensle's current responsibilities at BEA include the BEA SOA Maturity Matrix and the BEA Liquid Enterprise Methodology™.

Prior to joining BEA, Mr. Hensle spent six years as a software consultant working through several small consulting firms. Mr. Hensle began his professional career as a research engineer at a large defense contractor where he developed computational-electromagnetic algorithms and programs.

Mr. Hensle has a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Gonzaga University, and a master's degree in Applied Mathematics with a Computer Science Emphasis from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Clifford Booth
Vice President Enterprise Architecture, Worldwide Consulting

Mr. Booth is Vice President Enterprise Architecture for BEA's Worldwide Consulting Organization. He has over 30 years experience spanning software engineering, technology planning & management, enterprise infrastructure and consulting with management roles in software engineering, marketing and consulting services. Mr. Booth is responsible for the development of BEA Consulting method and service offerings for the delivery of solutions based on BEA technology. His current focus is on the BEA Liquid Enterprise Methodology and service offerings for ESC, BPM and SOA.

Paul Patrick
Vice President and Chief Architect, AquaLogic Product Family
BEA Systems, Inc.

Paul Patrick, Vice President and Chief Architect for BEA Systems, has been with BEA for more than ten years and has been instrumental in leading a number of architectural initiatives across BEA's various product lines. In his role as Chief Architect, Mr. Patrick leads the Corporate Architect Group responsible for driving a consistent set of architectural guidelines, principles, and best practices across the entire portfolio of BEA products. Prior to becoming BEA's Chief Architect, Mr. Patrick served in a number of architecture roles both at BEA Systems and other companies.

Mr. Patrick has nearly 30 years experience in the high technology industry with roles in software and hardware development, including security, network device firmware and diagnostics, network protocols, distributed computing technology, tool development, quality assurance, and technical support, as well being a published author, having written the books "Understanding CORBA" and "The Black Book on Government Security", as well as numerous articles and white-papers. He holds a number of patents and patents applications.

Nishi Deokule
Sr. Marketing Manager

Nishi Deokule is a Sr. Marketing Manager for SOA governance at BEA. Nishi Deokule has extensive expertise in SOA, SOA governance, SOA Security, B2B, Business process management and enterprise wide integration. Prior to joining BEA Nishi worked as Solution Marketing Manager and as an Enterprise Architect at Sun.

Wayne Boland
Enterprise Architect, World Wide Consulting
BEA Systems Inc.

Wayne Boland is an Enterprise Architect within BEA's World Wide Consulting organization and has been instrumental in the development of many of the components of BEA's Liquid Enterprise Methodology. He led the development of BEA's Enterprise Service Engineering framework and most recently the development of the SOA Instrumentation for Monitoring and Management collateral; both significant components of the Liquid Enterprise Methodology. Wayne brings over 14 years of technology leadership, and IT strategy execution experience and is currently focused on SOA thought leadership particularly around the execution and adoption of SOA.

Wayne has a background in software engineering where he spent the first five years of his career before becoming an independent consultant prior to joining BEA in 2002. He has had the pleasure of working with a wide variety of customers, big and small, from Europe and North America across a wide variety of verticals.

Stephen G. Bennett
Americas SOA Practice Lead, Worldwide Consulting
BEA Systems Inc.

Stephen Bennett is BEA's Americas SOA Practice Lead and has been instrumental in developing BEA's SOA technology management consulting service offerings, especially in the SOA Organization & Governance realm, and has provided technology management and enterprise architecture consulting to many of BEA's enterprise customers. Stephen brings more than 20 years of technology leadership, and IT strategy execution experience and currently is focusing on SOA thought leadership and execution.

Before becoming a consultant, Mr. Bennett was involved in delivering enterprise-wide mission critical systems within the investment banking industry for over 12 years at companies such as Barclays Capital Bank and Credit Agricole Bank. Mr. Bennett has considerable international experience working in the USA, Europe, Japan and South Korea.
