Founder, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President, BEA Systems
Alfred Chuang, who founded BEA Systems in early 1995 with Bill Coleman and Ed Scott, had managed just about every aspect of BEA by the time he became CEO in October 2001. He had led the areas of finance, sales, services, engineering, product development, MIS, corporate development, business planning, developer services, human resources and global operations. He had been BEA's chief technology officer, executive vice president of product development, president of BEA WebXpress, president of business operations, and president and chief operating officer. In August 2002, in addition to CEO, Mr. Chuang became BEA's chairman of the board.

Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer,
Comcast Cable Communications, LLC
Andrew Baer serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Comcast Cable Communications, LLC. In this role, he is responsible for developing Comcast's internal Information Technology (IT) strategy that aligns technology to meet overall business needs and objectives, including oversight of the company's customer care, billing and ordering systems; data centers; desktops; internal telephony; and other corporate systems. He also oversees the integration of the IT organizations in former Time Warner and Adelphia cable systems recently acquired by Comcast.
Prior to joining Comcast, Andrew most recently served as Vice President of Business Platform Services for AOL in Dulles, VA, where he managed several of the information technology initiatives required to transition a subscriber-based ISP to a premium services and advertising-driven web portal company. A 20-year veteran of the IT sector, he also served as Chief Information Officer for Verestar and Vice President of Customer Care Systems for Verizon.
An MBA graduate from Cornell University, Andrew also holds a BS in Finance and Economics from the University of Maryland.

Vice-President of Planning, Enterprise Architecture, and Quality, Sony Pictures Entertainment
David Buckholtz is Vice-President of Planning, Enterprise Architecture, and Quality at Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE). Reporting to the CIO, he is responsible for technology strategy, standards, and methods in support of improving systems capability and leverage across the studio. He also manages IT governance, global sourcing, service management, organizational development, quality assurance, and production acceptance teams, as well as strategic planning and cooperation with sister and parent Sony organizations.

CIO, Kohl's Department Stores
Mr. Marshall joined Kohl's Department Stores as Senior Vice President/CIO in May 2005. Prior to this he was the Senior Vice President and CIO of The Men's Wearhouse. During his ten years there he held the positions of Vice President and CIO, and President of their newly formed Corporate Apparel Division. The Men's Wearhouse recruited him from Icon Network Services to enhance their strategic information and technology initiatives.
Before founding Icon Network Services, Mr. Marshall was the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Johnson Controls' Network Services where he helped to build a nationwide network service company.
Mr. Marshall has also held Senior Management positions at United Telecommunication/Sprint, Prime Computer and Honeywell Information Systems.
He is a graduate of Columbia University and Juilliard School of Music. He is Vice Chairman of the National Retail Federation's Information and Technology Council, and a member of the CIO Executive Forum.

and Services, Intel Corporation
Ricardo Echevarria, Vice President, Software and Solutions Group, General Manager, Enterprise Solution Sales and Services, Intel Corporation Rick Echevarria is vice president of the Software and Solutions Group and general manager of Intel Solution Services and Intel Solution Centers for Intel Corporation.
Previously, Echevarria spent two years as director of product marketing for Intel's Communication Products Group and as director of Internet marketing for the Enterprise Server Group. Before joining Intel in 1994, he was a software developer for IBM Corporation in Austin, TX.
Echevarria received his bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Purdue University. He received his master's degree in computer systems management from Union College.

Executive Vice President, Business Interaction Division, BEA Systems
Mark T. Carges, Executive Vice President, has been with BEA for more than ten years, and has been instrumental in leading the strategy, development and integration of several BEA products and acquisitions. As Executive Vice President, Business Interaction Division, Mr. Carges is responsible for the strategy and leadership of this new division, formed following the BEA acquisitions of Plumtree Software and Fuego. This division is central to the company's AquaLogic® brand and is focused on enabling business process management, enterprise portals, collaborative communities and composite applications.

Global & Enterprise Accounts, BEA Systems
Bruce Graham, Senior Vice President, is responsible for BEA's consulting organization and its Global and Enterprise Accounts. Since joining BEA in 2003, Bruce launched and led BEA's Global SOA Practice, and has been a major driver behind BEA's recognized leadership in SOA. Bruce joined BEA from the Feld Group, a premiere IT strategy and technology management firm serving Fortune 200-sized corporations, where he was a founding partner in the firm.
During his career, Bruce has served as CIO of multiple multi-billion enterprises, in addition to serving as COO then CEO of a publicly held application service provider. Bruce brings to BEA a unique, broad understanding of the development and real-world execution of "transformational" IT strategies, as well as extensive hands-on experience in systems development and integration in the Global 2000.
Bruce regularly keynotes industry conferences, is interviewed by publications worldwide, and briefs both industry and financial analysts for BEA. He attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School and holds a bachelors degree from Texas Tech University.
Rosanne Saccone
Senior Vice President, Worldwide Marketing, BEA Systems
As Senior Vice President of Marketing, Ms. Saccone is responsible for all aspects of BEA marketing strategy and operations worldwide, including developing and executing the BEA go-to-market plan, and driving all elements of an integrated, global marketing program. Her background includes almost 20 years of high-tech marketing, finance and business planning/strategy experience.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Saccone held several senior management positions at BEA including Vice President of Human Resources, Worldwide Field Organization and Vice President, Services Marketing. She was most recently Vice President, Corporate Marketing leading the Go-to-Market organization that includes industry/solutions marketing, product marketing, customer marketing and field marketing organizations.
Ms. Saccone graduated with distinction from the University of Virginia, The Darden School with a master’s in business administration and with Honors, Phi Beta Kappa with a BA in Economics from Stanford University.

Vice President, Engineering, BEA Systems
Mr. Churchward brings over 25 years experience in the information technology industry as a business executive, with extensive international experience in engineering, sales, marketing, strategy and market development.
He is currently Vice President of Engineering at BEA Systems, Inc., and oversees product strategy and development in the areas of virtualization/utility computing, Event Driven Architecture (EDA) including real-time and complex event processing, portals and Java Virtual Machine technology. Prior to that, Churchward was Vice President of Marketing Development for Mainspring Ventures, Inc., a consulting firm he also founded. He has held executive management positions at Sun Microsystems and Caplin Cybernetics, and sales management positions at Granada Computer Services and Vanco.
Churchward holds a M.B.A from Stanford University and studied Computer Science at Cambridge College in the U.K.

Vice President and Chief Architect, BEA Systems
Paul Patrick, Vice President and Chief Architect for BEA Systems, has been with BEA for more than ten years and has been instrumental in leading a number of architectural initiatives across BEA’s various product lines. In his role as Chief Architect, Mr. Patrick leads the Corporate Architect Group responsible for driving a consistent set of architectural guidelines, principles, and best practices across the entire portfolio of BEA products. Prior to becoming BEA’s Chief Architect, Mr. Patrick served in a number of architecture roles both at BEA Systems and other companies.
Mr. Patrick has nearly 30 years experience in the high technology industry with roles in software and hardware development, including security, network device firmware and diagnostics, network protocols, distributed computing technology, tool development, quality assurance, and technical support, as well being a published author, having written the books “Understanding CORBA” and “The Black Book on Government Security”, as well as numerous articles and white-papers. He holds a number of patents and patent applications.
