The Australian Capital Territory Emergency Services Agency (ESA) IT department was looking for ways to improve productivity across the organization’s four operational lines. The solution needed to support the agency’s mobile workforce and allow users to access the corporate network from anywhere at any time.
ESA selected BEA AquaLogic User Interaction, in collaboration with Portal Insight Web tools, to connect its disparate work groups, IT systems, and business processes. The solution was chosen because it required minimum scoping and could be up and running within weeks.
BEA AquaLogic User Interaction provided the necessary framework for personalized pages, portlets, and easy navigation to applications and communities. ESA could create pages, content, applications, and Web services as needed.
