Solution

BEA offers Best Buy a scalable framework to integrate Oblix single sign-on, Sun's directory server, content management application, BI tools and Verity's search engine. The Employee Toolkit portal doesn't just deliver new services - it also ties into Best Buy's existing half-dozen back-end business systems, including POS, merchandising, and training applications. Best Buy store associates have access to consistent product information that customers see online, which includes product specifications, pricing and competitive information. The Employee Toolkit also fosters knowledge sharing and encourages associates to submit helpful tips to share with peers across the stores.
