CAMICO Mutual Insurance Company is the nation's largest CPA-owned mutual insurance company and second largest provider for accountant's professional liability insurance and risk management services. CAMICO offers its services to over 6,900 CPA firms with 57,997 staff members in 45 states. As an integral part of its insurance policy, CAMICO offers its policyholders proactive practice and risk management support to help them avoid litigation. CAMICO needed a user-friendly way to publish information and tools on the web while ensuring security and providing its policyholders with a searchable knowledge directory.
BEA's AquaLogic User Interaction was used to implement the CAMICO members-only portal. CAMICO's staff can post information directly to the portal while protecting secure documents. Furthermore, the integrated search capability of the portal provides easy access to documents for the organization's policyholder base.
During the first two months of the portal release, 1,500 new registrants logged on, in addition to more than 6,000 registrants from the previous members-only site. The feedback from CAMICO policyholders is that the layout of the portal allows them to quickly find what they need and the portal analytics indicate the average visit duration has increased significantly. The portal provides a more effective experience and supports CAMICO's customer-focused business goals.
