Business Challenge

As part of a major branch-centric restructuring, Crédit du Nord needed to update its workstations and provide its Sales Representatives with user-friendly, effective support in the initial client contact. This way, local administrators would be released from multiple manual operations via an instant, event-related client data entry, including initial client contact, signing of contracts, and loan submission .

Solution

Based on BEA WebLogic Server®, 'Chopin' is a project to rebuild multiple client management key processes and migrate from a product-centric approach to a task-oriented system. A new architecture was developed to support a unified workstation providing access to 270 business applications .

Results

Crédit du Nord has achieved considerable time savings, equivalent to 30 man years, as well as significant cost reductions (one central BEA WebLogic Server, instead of 650 local servers previously). The system is more reliable and secure, as redundant entries have been drastically reduced. Sales Representatives now register new clients directly and print the relevant contracts for signing and presentation during client meetings .
