Solution

Using DHL Packstation, customers can collect their package round the clock. Stations are linked to the central database using BEA WebLogic Server 8.1. The system guarantees that packages are delivered to the right address and recipients are automatically informed by email or SMS.

Results

More than 400 Packstations in 15 cities and 100,000 customers signed up for the new delivery service three months before the service was launched. Customer satisfaction is extremely high: customers find the stations easy to use, and they value the smooth data processing and reliable information exchange.
