Vittorio Viarengo

Vittorio is currently the Director of Product Management for BEA's WebLogic Integration products. He has executive level insight into BEA's product roadmap as it pertains to application integration, legacy integration and business process management. Prior to joining BEA in 2001, Vittorio was the Vice President of Product Management at eXcelon Corporation. While at eXcelon he pioneered the area of XML technology, XML tools and XML databases. Vittorio is responsible for engineering the most comprehensive XML tools suite and the first Business Process Engine written entirely in XML. Vittorio started his own software company in Italy in 1994. The company ViVi Software concentrated on the area of visual tools for object databases. ViVi Software was eventually sold to eXcelon Corporation in 1997. Prior to ViVi, Vittorio spent four years of research in the area of Education Technology. Vittorio reports directly to Chet Kapoor, BEA's VP and General Manager for Integration.

Jerry Wager Director, Strategic Enterprise Solutions BEA Systems, Inc. Mr. Wager has 13 years of professional experience in the areas of technology management, business development, marketing, and strategic planning. Today, Mr. Wager's primary focus is taking BEA's newest technologies to market and identifying opportunities to apply BEA's technologies in solutions that enable organization's to address their current business problems.

Jeremy Westerman

Director, Product Management
Jeremy Westerman is Director, BEA WebLogic Integration Product Management, and has nearly 10 years experience in Enterprise Integration. Jeremy has been with BEA nearly 6 years and has focused exclusively on integration using a variety of BEA products - TUXEDO/eLink, WebLogic Process Integrator and now BEA WebLogic Integration. Currently Jeremy is taking a lead role in defining the BEA WebLogic Integration product strategy and functionality. Prior to BEA, Jeremy was with Digital Equipment Corporation in Europe for 4 years, where he focused on Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) using the MessageQ messaging product.

Seth White
BEA Systems, Inc.
Staff Engineer
Seth joined BEA in 1999 and is currently the lead engineer on the EJB development team for BEA WebLogic Server. Before joining BEA Seth worked for the Java Software division of Sun Microsystems where he wrote the JDBC 2.0 specification. Seth completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science in 1994 at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Dave Wilby

Dave Wilby has over twelve years product management experience in the performance management space. At Dirig, Dave serves as the VP of product management, where he is responsible for strategy and development of the product roadmap and guiding eBusiness product initiatives. Prior to Dirig, Wilby held strategic positions with Tivoli, Sun Microsystems and Fujitsu Computer Systems.

Rob Woollen
BEA Systems, Inc.

Rob Woollen has been a developer on BEA WebLogic Server since 1998. He designed and implemented much of BEA WebLogic Server's EJB 2.0 container and JDBC RowSet implementation. He is a co-author of J2EE Applications and BEA WebLogic Server. Rob holds a BS in Computer Science from Princeton University.

Stephan Zachwieja
BEA Systems, Inc.
Zach has over 12 years of experience in building messaging systems and has been a member of the BEA messaging team for the past six years. He is one of the original UNIX/NT developers of the BEA MessageQ product (previously DECMessageQ), and has worked on TUXEDO/Q. Zach's current work focuses on WebLogic JMS. Before working at BEA, Zach worked at Digital Equipment and Microsoft developing graphics subsystems for VMS and Windows NT respectively.

Sherwood Zern

Principal Consultant
Sherwood Zern has been involved in software development for the past 18 years and has been doing object-oriented development for ten of those years. Since 2000 Sherwood has been a Principal Consultant with the BEA RTP Accelerated Development Center and is now a member of the Professional Services organization. He has assisted many Fortune 500 companies adopt object-oriented development, Java, and J2EE. Sherwood has served as the technical lead and project lead on several BEA WebLogic Portal and BEA WebLogic Commerce Server engagements. He has been working with the Portal and Commerce Server product since the 3.1 release of BEA WebLogic Commerce Server.
