Analysts are unanimous: BEA WebLogic Server is the application server market leader for the third year in a row, despite heavy investment and aggressive competition from the world’s richest software companies. Most recently, IDC reported that BEA increased its market share from 18 percent in 2000 to 24.8 percent in 2001, maintaining its position as the market leader. This follows on the heels of reports from Gartner Dataquest, IDC, Giga and AMR that also placed BEA in the #1 position.

BEA is building its extended application infrastructure strategy upon its success with the application server, which is at the heart of architecture for the distributed, integrated enterprise.
