Integration: BPM, WLI, WLS, service bus and Web services

A recent Dev2Dev blog about Business Process Management (BPM) talks about a “shared process model,” one in which “business and IT now have one tangible artifact that represents what they want to execute and what is being executed.”

The article Working with the BEA AquaLogic BPM Suite, puts some flesh on this topic. Alex shows how a business analyst can capture and model a business process using AquaLogic BPM Designer and then how “IT” can get stuck in with AquaLogic BPM Studio and turn this into something executable. Wanting to drive the point home, the article shows how the process can include Web services interaction, as well as communication with the AquaLogic Service Bus and WebLogic Integration controls. A tour de force of products and integration.

We’ve also just started a poll on the topic of BPM. Please participate.

Finally, BEA recently acquired Flashline. Read an interview that Dev2Dev conducted with the Flashline CEO, Charles Stack.
