SEPTEMBER 2007
By developers, for developers
Develop@BEAWorld, Mock Objects and Podcasts

The Develop@BEAWorld Conference is almost here, part of the larger BEAWorld. This year it's in San Francisco (September 10-12), Barcelona (October 2-4) and Shanghai, with a fantastic lineup of talks. Check out the Enterprise Web 2.0 and Core Application Development topic lists. They include everything from "Open JPA and Spring", "Lightweight WebLogic Server", "WebLogic Performance Guide" and "Developing WebLogic Portal Services" to an "Introduction to Adobe Flex with Workshop", "Mashups, Widgets, Pagelets and reusable Interface services" and more.

Besides these tracks, San Francisco will also host a Liquid Developer Playground, a separate area with pre-configured machines that are running many BEA products, samples and more. BEA facilitators will be attending to assist developers and answer questions as best they can.

There's also the main BEAWorld conference with tracks covering Business Integration, Enterprise Foundation, SOA in Governance, Financial Services, Telecommunications and more. Rod Johnson will be keynoting.

I'll be in Barcelona, and Sarah in San Francisco. We'd love to meet you, so drop us a line.

Regards,
Jon Mountjoy
